If you are in the US, your appendix is more likely to kill you than al-Qaeda.

In a neat article, One Million Ways to Die, Wired extrapolates data from the last ten years to create a colour-coded chart of the threats US citizens face. Driving off the road tops the chart, and terrorism comes second-last, above only carbon monoxide poisoning from products.

In fact, you are more likely to be shot by law enforcement than a terrorist.
